New research to boost Queensland grain growers’ productivity

Grain growers are set to reap the benefits from local research trials published in a new Queensland Government report.

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) crop and food science general manager Garry Fullelove said the Queensland Grains Research 2016 publication provided regionally relevant trial data in an easy-to-understand format.

“The Queensland Grains Research 2016 publication provides valuable insights to growers and agronomists focusing on cereal agronomy, pulse agronomy, nutrition, soils, farming systems, weeds and pathology,” Mr Fullelove said.

“Findings from research conducted by peers in conjunction with industry and researchers include what benefits deep placement nutrients are having in a modern farming system
