CEO Salaries – on the nose?

Nearly 80 per cent of Australians believe high CEO salaries are unethical

That’s according to the findings of the second annual Ethics Index survey.

Overall, corporate leaders do not rate well. Company secretaries, directors of Australian companies and chief financial officers rate as more ethical than unethical, while board chairs, foreign company directors, chief executives and senior executives are all seen as unethical on balance.

These findings are vitally important for governance professionals. We need governance strategies and solutions that enable a company to not only conduct itself ethically, but also evolve, grow and succeed.
